WEDDING DAY

Time's town crier came to a halt
at the front of my savvy mind
Gome! Gome! Gome!
boom the hollow metal as it chime.

Time just trickle me
to speak your wedding to the world.

I speak this day to the world
by pouring in your minds my words;
a gentle olive oil
pour on the mind when it boil.

when life tour
is taking you both on a tour
through its bumpy road full of contours,

life gets so slow,
delight seize to flow
oh no what a pain in the soul.

When sleeping bread in bowl of water
making it pass the throat gutter
becomes an attempt
to make the night feel better

Always Remember !
Your marriage is a celebration of love,
a gift from up above
a promise to join force
in life struggle
when it gets tough.

A union of opinions,
a marriage of two united efforts
to each other they must comport
to build a castle of comfort.

A celebration of comfort and delight
that unite;
a promise of delight
whose's fire will never seize to ignite.

Always remember TODAY
A day that love stir
with every pinch of air
in the atmosphere
flowing with the genial breeze
oozing here and there.

Your hearts promising each other care,
you are eachother's DEAR
and for each other,
you must forever be there.

THE WORLD IS HIS WORD

I welcome you all on board
to my world of words.
In this ward,
words are sharper than all legendary swords:
an artillery that will behead all wars.

A gentle olive oil,
an antidote poured on our minds when it boils.

Join me in this ward,
as my words persuade your mild minds on a tour
pass the profound of the sea where Goliath wales sail,
pass the Kilimanjaros in the seas,
to the bottom of our sod.

And to the roof of our world
where word rip naked our world,
peel it flesh,
revealing its naked skeleton.

Our shy naked world
where word stand the visible pillars of our sky
as God effortlessly tuck the visible flying arms of our sky
into the top hills of the seas
demonstrating his being 'A GOD OF WORD'.

Our shy natural world in a slow swirl,
charmed by God's magical spell.

A creature of habit,
an addict,
a convict trapped in depth water
by the power of word.

BE! he say.
using word,
a magical wand in his hand
that command sand from our land
to mold the bricks that brand
the walls of our world.

THE VISION

***THE VISION***
Every poetic revelation was once a vision
that gently caress my mind
to cherry-pick my diction of imaginary distinctions
and to nurture the statistics of this artistic mission
that poetry has just commission.

my clairvoyant inner mind first sees the aura of the vision;
a cosmos that glitters
like that of a gleaming crystal reflected by sunlight.

I see a mystique whose color chameleon
from white to yellow, orange and blue
like that of the sky at sunrise.

A vision when Poetry promises to be the helper
and the healer of our world
when malnourished minds hurt our sky.
our sky is sobbing ,
Her blue tears dropping
our ocean is flooding
the pillars of our world sagging.

when rage of war lure human to ending,
God command poets to stop pretending
now they need to start attending,
these falling walls of our world needs defending
Man's mind set need re-branding.

seeing our world dancing wrong,
poetry commands me to be strong
urging me to sing a song
that make my tongue
sticky to the upper ridge of my oral cavity
as i battle my too weak to speak lips
and, finally, all words given birth to poetically.
Every poem is a 'VISION.

***A Pride, Not Bride***

***A Pride, Not Bride***
Towards my savvy mind she is trudging,
restlessness crested all over her pale apparition.
Innocence and sinlesnness in dilution;
the warm red fluid of her blood stream.

A warm red fluid streaming,
Through her chest, her cold warm blood spilling.
Her heart must have been stabbed by a feeling.
Oh! This lass's heart is seriously bleeding,
 she Sluggishly lean forward pleading:

Please let your thinking be mild,
 think wide,
I am your child, your pride
But, not yet your bride.

My moma is that teeny bone from your ribs,
My bond to that right of a human is too deep.

I am your child, your pride
 But, not yet your bride.

Why not let nature handle my journey to adolescent?
Why not let me ripe first?
Why Do you hastily thrust me,
unprepared, to that ritual of agony,
a rite of throes to adulthood.

To your sexual fulfillment the ripe me still stand,
my virgin fluid, still, will stain that neat fibers of your bed sheets...
I am your child, your pride
 But, not yet your bride.

Walk me to the college with a stride,
 Where knowledge's secrets openly hide.
 kick your religious misconceptions aside,
All careful decision laws always abide.
I am your child, your pride
But, not your bride.

My hollow mind is still so naive,
Prepare me for this logical battle of life
tomorrow, I'll be your wonderful wife.

For now, I am your Child,
your pride but, not yet your bride.

A Day

By: Tunde Abdulsalam

Today! few years back, my savvy mind sneaked out of
my chest escaping through my too teeny ribs, 'azonto'
'azonto' into our sky, he dances his way as he flees.

Oh! Our lovely sky that is smiling, spreading a pleasant
blue colour attire that is so cosy like that of the sea at
night...

I see my savvy mind dancing as it wave above all roofs,
past the mountains, height above hills, looking down at
the oceans, flowing calmly, steady, in a motion that is
friendly.

My savvy mind could see the moon dancing, singing in a
sonorous genial tune...chanting: its a wonderful day in
the month of June...

To my savvy mind's astonishment is a Stream of
stars, shining, shimmering, gleaming, and sparkles of light
blinking and winking. I see these funky happy peppy
stars dancing as they flood towards my savvy mind with
a gentle dance of the Daffodils dancing to a mild
breeze's melody.

Wink* Trust my savvy mind grow so inquisitive, prying
into every thin air in his breath, asking why delight
spread everywhere, even in the wee air that flees the
atmosphere ...

A star is born!
A star is born!
Their convivial chant continues:

A star that plight to shine its sparkles of light on our sky
at night.
A star that is so bright as it plight to make Delight and
our world Unite.
A knight with a white bright soul like that of snow
A knight that promise to make the fire of our world and
delight ignite.

Happy birthday my friend Ganiu.
You'll live to feel comfort like that of morning dews
Your joy will always be new
Our proud star of June.

I Need To Know

~Tunde Abdulsalam

I see sexual sanity
strolling pass my mind's vicinity
With a pleasant song of warning saying: I need to know!

I need to know sexuality,
Familiarize myself with its spirituality,
This will make me pay attention to its physicality
And its sensitivity to humanity.

I need to know that our sexual sanity is an entity
That requires all our capacity
To colour our world with comfortable stability.

Sexuality makes and bakes our souls like cake.
A natural appetite that brings satisfaction and at time
nauseas our souls with distress.
Sexuality can as well lure our precious souls to a
distressful
Grave.

I need to know that sex
is like the king in the game of chess
Who breathe wildly like the strongest
And also breathe teeny like the weakest.

Let our minds frown as it turns it back at any sexual
insanity, and focus all in our effort to its sanity
For this will bless our lives with comfort till eternity.

Moment

~Tunde Abdulsalam

As the day continues to fade, sunset keeps sketching the
trees' shades...gradually drawing us to a future
unknown, forcing us to leave our un perfected past
behind.

I sat under an oak tree feeling like having a wand in my
hand to make time trudge and fall to a crawl, till it gets
to a final halt.....

I wish I can hold time from sweeping away this Moment
that mingle my soul with people of characteristic
combination of opinions, emotions, and behavior.

People whose competence and performance now taste
like a soup whose delicacy is at its supremacy.

People who just completed answering the clarion call and
understand all it now need to lift our nation up...

Our batch B corp members, Walk majestically into the
society where favour will be your neighbor, where
fulfillment will fill your mouths with its flavour and joy
shall be your daily endeavors.

Before You Say: "I DO."

By: Tunde Abdulsalam

Before you say: "I DO."
Listen to the inner rhythm of your heart beats,
Let your steps and the rhythm meet,
Do some research on yourself to set you fit,
Then, you'll hear the rules of "I DO."

Listen to the rhythm that sometimes brings tears and
fear
And at times cuddles our souls with care
Because moments in our lives tango in adjacent pears.

Think about a moment when showers of rain beats a
pleasant conga on our bamboo roofs and a moment
when this same rain beats our mud soft like clay,
flooding away our grains.

Think about a moment when the sun dries our grains
And melt down our iced pain
And its rivulet stream a pool of gain.
And a moment when this same sun burns
our skins from our heads to our feet
Leaving our hearts to shiver as it beat in heat...

Think about a moment when sorrow dishes itself humble
on your table,
Making you wonder if God is still able
To command things to be stable
And give your life the comfort of a cradle.

Before you say : "I DO"
In your life let God rule
And make sure your decision is cool like wool.
Remember life promises not to be always good,
moments in lives sway like a curtain in a breezy mood.

OUR PRIVILEGED SIRES

By: Tunde Abdulsalam  @Savvyminded

Our privileged sires, your wave like that of the sea to sail
our country ship to 'Canaan' is well acknowledged.

You're privileged,
Not because you're the master of knowledge
Remember some less privileged also patronised the
college.

But, you're privileged because the people converge and
merge
To hand you this verge
that made you emerged.

My savvy mind was strolling along the people's passage,
I see these souls that you manage,
Wearing a pale smiling hope and courage.

My savvy mind stopped by with a sigh to ask why!?
Why is your hope and courage in bondage?
My lips wear a gaunt smile.

There's no yam in the village
To prepare their porridge
Neither is there orange,nor sausage
Not to even talk of beverage
In their food storage.
This engages their minds in a divorced marriage
With hope and courage.

Our privileged sires,
These people are your priceless baggage, a jewels filled
luggage
That you need to manage.

Let these words ring bell in your minds like an adage
Because, this 'Poetic lexical items" is the heaven's
message.

THE GIST OF OUR MIDST

By Tunde Abdulsalam

Welcome to our midst, our 'Splendid Glee.'
Today your breaths and ours meet with ease like the
breeze and sea that kisses each other with peace.

Welcome to a midst that will make your sorrows plea as
they flee because honey of joy will swim around thee like
a hive of honey bees.

Welcome to a midst where breeze is a gentle wind that
sings. Ding! ding! As its ring rings your sorrows into the
wee winds it flings. Your merriment and delight now
links, making your joy rule like one of our kings...

Welcome to a midst that will hug you like 'a familiar
stranger', looking past your image with its dagger, in a
spactacuz posture to ensure 'you' not been followed by
any danger.

Welcome to a midst of the legendary saga, a midst that
will not scare your presence with it dagger and will not
cost your essence any anger.

Welcome to a midst that will take you far like harp lager,
on a ladder to a 'peak' where your joy will dazzle and
dribble like 'Daniel Agger.'
A peak where your joy will never stagger, rather, it will
stride with 'An Elegant jubilant swagger.

Let It Go!

By Tunde Abdulsalam

You've got to let it go!
even though it hurts your soul
as a whole
and always costs you a Oh!
You've got to let it go!

Even though it melts your heart
and darts your soul
 leaving a hole
that serves as a road
through which your God oh!
Penetrates your soul ,
you've got to let it go!

Even though it wakes you up at night
making you ignore your snore
like your heart sore
and your bed is invaded by
rain, you've got to let it go!

Even though it makes you wonder
if the moon is still the lantern of the sky
and all the stars in the sky form the
pattern of a NO!
You've got to let it go!

Even though it transforms the breeze
that kisses your skin with ease
to a gloomy wind that causes your heart heat,
you've got to let it go

Even though at the face of the mirror,
with your excessive intake of liquor.
The mirror still reveals your true figure.
You brake the mirror
and say;
 'I just can't let go!'
You still have to let it go!

You've got to let is go!,
 it is so
because
those that you need to let go,
Oh!
They must GO!
Because they are not part of those poles
that will upright the
shelter of your goal.

OUR SUPERB EAGLES

By: Abdulsalam Jamiu B.

Who's that knocking on my window?
Oh its the nations' cup bugle.

My mind jumped up,
and my shoes buckled.

This must be a call for our Eagles
 to start the struggle.

Deep in the heart of the dwell,
 my mind settle
wondering if our Eagles
will float in fool of bubbles.
Poooo! poooooo!
Oh that's from the throat of the referee's whistle.

Why will our Eagles lost the strive to hustle?
Like they've been forbidden by gods of the battle.
My mind settled in comfortable trouble! ,
wondering if we'll survive in this jungle.

Wow! The jingle from the fans is now audible,
their roaring spirits, mine, plus that of our Eagles now mingle.

Now, our Eagles are more possessed by muscle
and their sailing energy becomes double.

 heee... heee... huuu...
our Eagles' dribbles
i see soccer wrinkles on our opponents' ankle
as the ball is engaged to our Eagles ankle
like 'a charmed bangle' on 'Abiku's ankle.

The aroma of victory now becomes visible
like an advert of maggi cube
that dishes victory on the table.

Now our Eagles sky elegantly above all troubles
to a legendary castle
that gleam like marble.
My heart soaaaaar!
As the world stand up and roar!
To celebrate 'Our Superb Eagles.'

MY INSIDIOUS INSOMNIA

 By Abdulsalam Jamiu B.
At my birth
when my head faces earth
 and my body sticks
almost lifeless inside
not because I'm aware of 'Death'
oh i'm so naive
about this 'Gaious' of our lives' Caeser.

At my birth,
I see Death preying on my mama's breath.
Hey! Why are you striving to seize her breath?
Seeing her insidious breath,
my voice became filled with horror.

But, why would this 'insidious insomnia' about Death
glue perfectly to my restless consciousness
 ever since my mama's Death?

Every time my eyes are steadily darting blankly,
my savvy mind becomes so pensive

as I see Death and its taste of horror
that brings fear close to my mind's ear.

At first in my imagination you appear
when suddenly your Polyphemus image is here.

I get soaked by fear
My heart shed tears

I shiver and quiver
as I see you
owlishly,
at my mama's soul you stare.

I see as Death proposed a date to my mama,
a date
to open the sod
 and thrust mama's soul
to an unknown world that I hate.

Wait! Wait! I yell at death to wait
oh! Too late death will not wait
since death is a slave to our dark fates.

I wish I had a wand in my hand
and I would have banned you!
'Our bad fate from coming around.

Every morning,
 at my veranda
you hail  me as you pass by.
i know  one day
 you would stop by
just  to say hi.

Too bad,
this 'insidious insomnia and I will always pear
because I know one day will come near
when you'll be here
to hurl my soul into the air
and my body,
 underneath the earth it disappears
just like you did to mama,
 'my dear.'

TIME!

By : Abdulsalam Jamiu B.

At the face of the sea
enjoying the presence of the mist
in corroboration with the chilly breeze of the sea,
the breeze flees north, south, west and east.

I grew quiet with a zip on the tip of my lips
like I'm half asleep
and the moment becomes a flip.

Suddenly! the breeze seize,
the moon, the mist, even the sea
and every other things
plus the jubilant daffodils freeze.
It's like 'Nature' and its devotees:
Life, Fate, Death... had deceased.
The only thing that exists is
the tick tock from the flimsy hand of 'Time.'

My mind sit pensive, so deep.
so! the absence of Time is actually a Time.
Oh! Time will you still breathe even at the end of time?

tick tock your bitty hand still ticks and sticks
blowing  our present to past
and your "winged chariot" still flees
 a very high speed
to invade our dear future.

oh! our wrongful pasts we can't travel back to
oh!some of our errors still baffle.

why would you hold our Fate
and we must wait
till you thrust it to our face.

why did you trick us from then,
stuck us at now ,
as we stand peeping at when.

We stand till our fresh skin wrinkles
and our texcoted hair looses it sparkles.

oh!Time! why do you pose friendly
but, so deadly to human.
why are you our immortal antagonist?
